Ms. Hutchens is an associate at Pickard Djinis and Pisarri LLP, having joined the firm in 2017. She represents broker-dealers, investment advisers, and other market participants in compliance and regulatory matters arising primarily under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, and SEC and FINRA rules and guidance.
Ms. Hutchens brings government, private practice, and teaching experience to the firm. Most recently, she worked on Capitol Hill at the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs primarily on issues relating to securities and corporate law, enforcement of banking, consumer, securities, and other laws by federal regulators and agencies, and diversity and inclusion in financial services. Before then, she worked in New York and Washington, DC at a leading law firm on securities compliance, dispute, and regulatory matters. Ms. Hutchens has three years of teaching experience, having taught legal research skills to law students and social studies to middle school students. She is an alumna of Teach for America, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating educational inequality.
